Day 2
Naboisho Conservancy Mara
Let the adventure begin!
Today will see you taking a short but scenic flight South West from Nairobi towards the Greater Masai Mara region. Upon arrival at the airstrip you will warmly welcomed by the camp guides and a safari vehicle will take you to your first camp, Naboisho Camp.
Enjoy the rest of the day with safari activities such as game drives or partake in a visit to the local Masai village. Naboisho being a conservancy, means that you have the luxury of being able to experience a Night Game Drive and if you’re lucky, witness a lioness stalking its prey in the cover of darkness.
Back to the camp and during the course of the evening you will meet your private bush walking guide, for a briefing about the days ahead and the trekking involved.
Day 3
Trek Naboisho – Fly Camping
Depart on foot from camp in the early morning with a daypack containing a picnic breakfast and snacks, stopping along the way to track wildlife spoors, learn about the flora and fauna you encounter, or simply to admire the scenery.
You will typically walk for the whole morning, stopping in a shady spot at midday for a rest, and then heading out on a shorter walk in the afternoon to reach the camp. Depending on your interests and fitness levels, wildlife sightings, and weather, it may also be possible to arrive at the fly camp for a late lunch and siesta there and head out of the camp in the afternoon from the camp.
The evening is spent enjoying a campfire-cooked dinner, drinks around the fire and spectacular stargazing of the wild African skies. Finally return back to your tent to fall asleep to the sounds of the bush all around you.
Day 4
Explore More of Naboisho Conservancy
The second day of walking, follows a similar pattern to the previous day. If you decide that the fly camp stays in the same location, then you will go out on separate morning and afternoon walks, returning to the camp to escape the mid-day heat.
Alternatively you can opt to pitch tent in a different location in the conservancy, if so, then the fly camp will be moved by a logistics team. Thus, making this into a full day of walking and exploring a new area. Arrive at the new fly camp location by 1600 for a second evening out in the wilds of the African bush.
Day 5
Bid Farewell to Naboisho
An early start for your last walk in the wilds whilst heading back to Naboisho Camp. Once back at Naboisho Camp you will be able to collect your bags and bid farewell to your new found friends. Thereafter, you will be driven to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi at 1100.
The rest of the day in Nairobi can be spent relaxing at the hotel or perhaps a visit to the local Masai Markets to get yourself some souvenirs to take back home.
Day 6
Nairobi
An action packed day awaits you today. Starting off at 0900hrs with a visit to the nearby Giraffe Center in the leafy suburbs of Karen. A little while later and your guide will take you to a very unique place. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a place where you will get to be up and close with young orphan elephant calves, who have either lost their mothers due to poaching or natural reasons.
Thereafter, a well needed break is in order. Your guide will drive you to the famous Carnivore restaurant for a ‘Beast of Feast’. At Carnivore you will be able to experience many types of grilled meats, from regular beef and chicken to more exotic meats such as ostrich or even crocodile! Vegetarians are well catered for also in case you’re not a fan of grilled meats.
After lunch your guide will take you back to your hotel for the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 7
