Day 1
Nairobi
Karibu Kenya!
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by a Safari & Fjell representative. Thereafter you will be transferred to your hotel to relax and rejuvenate.
Depending on the time of your arrival and your energy levels, you may desire to venture out and visit the nearby attractions.

Day 2 – 4
Masai Mara
Day 2 Highlights
Take an early breakfast and check out of your Nairobi hotel at approx 0830 for your flight to Masai Mara from Wilson Airport. Upon arrival in the Masai Mara you will be welcomed by our driver/ guide with a 4 x 4 vehicle for your exclusive use. Shortly thereafter your guide will drive you to the tented camp/lodge and in the process have a game drive en-route.
Arrive at the camp/lodge in time for lunch. After lunch you may rest a little and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Mara River with its resident hippos right under your tent*. Afternoon coffee / tea is served at the lounge overlooking the Mara River* thereafter you will venture out for your first evening game drive searching for the famous ‘Big 5’ at 1600 up until sunset.
Return back to the lodge at approx 1830 to enjoy a steaming hot shower. Dinner will be served and you’ll have time to reflect over the days sightings around the camps bonfire.

Day 3 Highlights
To make the most of your short time in the Masai Mara, today you will take a picnic lunch with you for a full day game drive. You usually leave the camp approx 0830 and are back at around 1600.
By taking a full day game drive it will allow you to experience more of the Masai Mara Reserve. Sometime around mid day your driver guide will find a tree with shady spot in the endless savannas to enjoy your packed lunch in the wilderness of the famous Masai Mara
Towards the early afternoon you will make your way back to the camp/lodge for some relaxation and contemplation.
Day 4 Highlights
A more relaxed morning with a leisurely breakfast. Bid farewell to your hosts at the camp and check out of the lodge.
Experience your final game drive whilst en-route to the airstrip for your return flight back to Nairobi at approx 1100.
Once in Nairobi you will welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check in and the rest of the day is at your leisure. Sight seeing activities / attractions can be arranged upon request.
Day 5 – 8
Climb Mt. Kenya
Chogoria Route to Point Lenana (4,985M)
Day 5 Highlights
Chogoria Park Gate (2,900m) – Lake Ellis Campsite (3,455m)
– Early breakfast / check out & drive towards Chogoria town on the Eastern slopes of Mt. Kenya.
– Start Mt. Kenya climb at Chogoria Park Gate (2,900m)
– 3hrs walk, 7km and 570m ascent.
– Hike through heather and rolling hills with chance to spot wildlife such as Elephants, Buffaloes and Leopards before reaching high altitude moorland at Lake Ellis Campsite (3,455m).
– Diner & overnight stay in mountain tents at Lake Ellis to acclimatise.
Day 6 Highlights
Lake Ellis (3,455m) – Mintos Campsite (4,200m)
– 7/ 8 hrs walk, 13km – 730m ascent
– Hike over Nithi River and in enjoy spectacular views of the awesome Gorges Valley , The Temple, lakes, mushroom rocks, billiards table and the high peaks.
– Packed lunch en-route to Mintos Campsite.
– Dinner & Overnight in mountain tents.
Sleep early in preparation for the pre-dawn summit ascent of Pt. Lenana.
Day 7 Highlights
Mintos (4,200m) – Pt. Lenana (4,985m) – Anabas Mt. Kenya Lodge (2,900m)
– 13/14hrs walk, 22km – Ascent 785m & Descent 2,058m
– 0300hrs Pt. Lenana pre-dawn summit asent starts under star filled skies.
– Summit Pt. Lenana and if the skies are clear then experience an incredible African Sunrise.
– Descend to Mintos Camp for a well needed hot breakfast and a short rest.
– Descend further down Gorges Valley to Anabas Mt. Kenya Lodge located at Chogoria Park Gate for a very welcome hot shower and some well needed rest in a proper bed. Dinner and Overnight.
Day 8 Highlights
Mt. Kenya Bandas – Nairobi
– Hearty breakfast and bid farewell to your mountain guides and porters.
– Transfer vehicle will come up to Anabas Mt. Kenya Lodge and take you straight back to your hotel in Nairobi to rest and freshen up.
– Rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 9
Nairobi
Depending on your international flight departure you may have the chance to explore more of the attractions in Nairobi.

– National Museum of Kenya
Transfer to the Airport well in time for your return flight back home.
